The Office of Gift Planning at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is hosting a free community seminar series titled “Easy Strategies…Estate Planning in an Uncertain World” on three Thursdays in February beginning Feb. 7.
The three-part series will feature financial professionals from the areas of law, insurance and finance who will present information and answer questions on the following topics:
Speakers scheduled for the series include Donna Bogdanovich, independent professional fiduciary; Brian Y. Chou, attorney at law, Barth Calderon, LLP; Jessica Dorman-Davis, attorney at law, Freeman, Freeman and Smiley; Paul Glowienke, financial advisor, Northwestern Mutual; Delia Fernandez, certified financial planner; Shawn Lefebvre, financial consultant; Michael Munn, certified public accountant; Joel Samaniego Napalan, trust officer, Citizens Business Bank; and Linda Wallace, Chartered Life.
“Although the new tax legislation clarifies many aspects of estate planning, the tax rules are new and we all need to figure out how it works,” said Susan Berkman, CSULB’s assistant vice president of gift planning. “This seminar will give us answers in light of the new tax law and what could change again in the future.”
The event will be held in the CSULB Foundation Building at 6300 State University Dr., Room 204. Parking is $5 in the foundation lot, but limited free parking is available on Palo Verde Avenue.
